Unveiling of Iran’s First Rare Earth Elements Ingot

According to the report of the public relations of IMIDRO, the ceremony was held in Iran Mineral Processing Research Center (IMIPRC). Sorna Sattari and Ali Akbar Salehi, Vice Presidents, and Mehdi Karbasian, Chairman of the board of IMIDRO, and Governor of Alborz province attended the ceremony.

We will provide all factors for country’s progress especially in mine sector as Iran has rich mineral reserves and potentials to create job in this sector, Salehi said.
We provide all facilities for IMIDRO to develop Rare Earth Elements sector, Sorna Sattari said.
Privatization
IMIDRO is ready to assign activities of Rare Earth Element to private sector, chairman of the board of IMIDRO said.
During the last two years, IMIDRO has started exploration, research and processing activities .Fortunately, IMIDRO as a result of the cooperation with domestic and foreign experts achieved desirable results such as mish metal ingot including 4 Rare Earth Elements (Cerium, Lanthanum, Neodymium and Yttrium), Mehdi Karbasian said.
We achieved results such as processing Antimony ingot and establishment and utilization of pilot line under international sanctions, he added.
We have started research cooperation with international centers such as South Africa, India and Australia .Recently we deal with Afghanistan and we will sign Memorandum of Understandings on training and research cooperation, he expressed.

Rare Earth Elements in Heart of Iran
Most of the Rare Earth Element reserves are located in central zones of Iran. In addition to these zones, exploration projects of Rare Earth Elements and other minerals have been started in Sangan zone with an area of 12 thousand kilometers and fortunately we reach promising results.
